Vaccination Promotion Project

The Pothohar Association worked with Harrow Council and the NHS Vaccination service to promote the take up of the Covid Vaccines. Video messages were produced in several languages: English, Punjabi, Pothohari, Hindi, Gujrati and Urdu. This successful project contributed to boosting vaccine take up among Ethnic Minorities in Harrow and other areas.

The Pothohar Association UK was founded in 1970.

  • Promote understanding of people with origins in the Pothohar Region who were exiled during the Partition of India
  • Preserve the history and heritage of Pothohar in Great Britain and beyond.
  • Foster intra-community and inter-generational relationships.
  • Facilitate Sewa (selfless service) including direct contribution and collaboration with charities and other community organisations.
