Jallianwala Grove

Jallianwala Grove is located at Eastern Old Parks
Old Parks Farm just outside Ashby de la Zouch LE65 1RH.

Visitors are welcome to visit the site by appointment. Please contact us to arrange a visit.

The planting of the Jallianwala Grove began on 23 November 2018 , the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Members and friends of the Pothohar Association UK contributed generously to raise funds in order to plant 1650 trees as a memorial to those innocent people who died at the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in Amritsar in April 1919.

The Pothohar Association UK was founded in 1970.
It aims to:

  • Promote understanding of people with origins in the Pothohar Region who were exiled during the Partition of India
  • Preserve the history and heritage of Pothohar in Great Britain and beyond.
  • Foster intra-community and inter-generational relationships.
  • Facilitate Sewa (selfless service) including direct contribution and collaboration with charities and other community organisations.
