2025 Events and Activities
27 April 2025 – Annual Foundation Day
Kirtan and Langar programme held at Ealing Gurdwara, London.
30 May 2025 – Vaisakhi Cup Golf Tournament
Sixty golfers joined the tournament at Stanmore Golf Club followed by lunch, quiz, singing, and prize giving. The Vaisakhi Cup Trophy was presented to Teghvir Singh Gujral.
27 June 2025 – Remembering Partition Event
Members attended the “Remembering Partition: Legacy of 1947 and Beyond” event at the London Centre, Guildhall.
Rav Singh of A Little History of the Sikhs explained the London decisions leading to Partition, and survivors including Jagjit Kaur Goel shared their stories.
18 August 2025 – Hampton Court Palace Visit
Members visited the Indian Soldiers at the Palace Exhibition, highlighting Indian soldiers in Royal Coronation Parades and WW1 Peace Celebrations. Princess Sofia Duleep Singh’s residence at Faraday House was also discussed.
9 September 2025 – Dinner in Honour of Sardar Tarlochan Singh
Held at Stanmore Golf Club with an after-dinner talk celebrating the achievements of Pothoharis.
25 October 2025 – Daastaan-e-Guru Nanak at SOAS
The Association sponsored Atelier Theatre Company’s London performance featuring storytelling, Shabads and poetry.
26 October 2025 – AGM and Committee Elections
Election of the Committee for 2025–2027, followed by a Daastaan-e-Guru Nanak performance at Guru Nanak Sikh Academy.
28 October 2025 – Launch of the Partition Memorial Trust
Held at the Houses of Parliament. The Association partnered with other organisations to launch the Trust and promote awareness and education on Partition.
15 November 2025 – Diwali Dinner
Over 400 members and guests attended. Over £4,000 was raised for the Khalsa Aid Punjab Floods Appeal.
14 December 2025 – Nishkam SWAT Outreach
Committee members joined the outreach programme and donated £1,000.
17 December 2025 – Kensington Palace Visit
Lecture by Dr Ishmeet Kaur Chaudhry on Remembering Partition Through Art.
20 December 2025 – Screening of “1984: When the Sun Didn’t Rise”
Documentary screening at Metro Cinema, Harrow, followed by Q&A with Director Teena Kaur.
